Information we collect

• Booking a Mass: your name, email, and phone number (if you provide one), the Mass intention text you write, and — if you're booking on behalf of someone else — the name and location you give for that person.
• Creating an account: your name, email, and a securely hashed password, or your identity from Google/Apple/a passkey if you sign in that way.
• Payment: HolyMass never stores your full card details. Payments are processed by our payment providers (Stripe, Paystack, or PayPal, depending on the parish), who handle your payment information under their own security standards.
• Location: a parish's address is geocoded to show it on a map and determine its timezone and suggested currency; this applies to parishes, not to individual parishioners.

How we use your information

We use your information to create and confirm your booking, send confirmation and receipt emails, let a parish review and manage the Masses booked with them, and — only if you ask — help recover access to your account. We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

Guest bookings

You can book a Mass without creating an account. In that case, we keep only the name, email, and phone number you provide for that specific booking, associated with a booking reference — not a full user profile. If you later create an account with the same email, that booking becomes visible in your account automatically.

Sharing with parishes

The parish you book with can see your booking details (your name/contact info, your intention, and payment status) so they can confirm your Mass and manage their schedule. Parishes cannot see your password, payment card details, or any bookings you've made with a different parish.

Your choices

You can review, correct, or delete your account information at any time from your account settings, or by contacting us. If you signed in with Google, Apple, or a passkey, you can disconnect those methods from your account security settings (provided you have another way to sign in).
